Where have these delicious nuggets of golden brown goodness been all my life?
Seriously, this might be the easiest breakfast or dessert you'll ever make. All you need is a waffle iron, a can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls, and a smile!
I love to cook with my kids so this recipe was a no brainer. I recommend adding a little cream cheese to can of glaze that comes with the can of refrigerated dough. It balances out the sweetness nicely.
Cautionary note: It's impossible to eat just one!
Mini Cinnamon Roll Waffles
1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls
2 tablespoons cream cheese (room temperature)
2 teaspoon milk
Coconut oil spray or preferred cooking spray (for greasing waffle iron)
Heat waffle iron to medium-high or medium/dark setting.
Lightly spray waffle iron with cooking spray.
Place one cinnamon roll in middle of waffle iron.
Close and heat until cooked through and golden brown.
For the glaze:
In a small mixing bowl, stir prepared sweet glaze (included in refrigerated cinnamon rolls dough) with room temperature cream cheese. Add milk, stir in one teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency. Glaze should be thick but pourable, add more milk as necessary.
