It’s important for kids to be creative but sometimes videos games and television get in the way. This is one of those activities that will have your whole crew begging to shut off screen time.
Start with a challenge: Only use/reuse materials found around the house. That way kids have to use their imagination and you get to save a few bucks to boot.
Fun, easy and free – now that’s about as good as it gets.
Take these directions as a guide not gospel. Whatever you have will work if you make it, so consider toilet paper rolls, tennis balls, even two liter bottles and playground balls will work, especially if you’ve got good weather to enjoy bowling outside.
10 sheets computer paper
2 small light-weight balls
Black permanent marker
Fold over each sheet of paper and staple both ends to make a cylinder.
Draw fun ghost faces on each “bowling pin.”
Set up the pins in a triangular grouping.
Roll a ball in an effort to knock the pins down, each player gets two turns.
Score however you like or just play for fun.
For an added treat, use the pins for Halloween decorations: Place a flameless candle under each pin. Darken the room and enjoy the ghostly light show.
